This program calculates the following values:
- d' and C (Brophy, 1986)
- A' (Snodgrass, Levy-Berger, & Haydon, 1985)
- B"D (Donaldson, 1992)
Instructions
Click once on the 'Run the Program' button. Enter the hit rate as a value between 0 and 1. (If you type and nothing appears on the screen, click once in the middle of the window and try again.) Then enter the false alarm rate as a value between 0 and 1.
The program will calculate two measures of discriminability (d', A') and two measures of bias (C, B"D).
The calculated values are generally accurate unless the hit or false alarm rates are close to 1 or 0.
